World of Sharks is now on Facebook and Twitter. Join us there for all the latest news.

Now, being pretty much technically inept it's taken me a while to get these things up and running. And there's no guarantee I'll be posting all the right things in the right places. But, so far, so good, as it does all seem to be working.

I really should leave things like this to Annemarie, but I'm such a control freak. Plus we are in different towns at the moment and I wanted it doing NOW!

Anyway, the main aim of us having a presence on social media is to share our love of sharks and, hopefully, to generate some interest in our upcoming novel, Nightmare on Paradise Island.

The novel is our little attempt to show the shark in a good light for once. So much of popular media seems to focus on the shark as the baddie but it's just not true. Nightmare on Paradise Island hopes to educate through entertainment.

We have decided to donate at least 20% of the profits from the novel to shark and ocean conservation. We haven't decided where the money will go yet, but we still have a while to decide. We're thinking that at least a portion of it will go into education and awareness projects.

If you have any ideas for deserving causes we'd like to hear from you.

We will also eventually be featuring some of Annemarie's marine themed recycled artwork. A percentage of the sales from that will be going to conservation too. There will be a shark art section coming to this website in the near future, so look out for that.

So, if you would like to stay up to date with the novel's progress, new additions to this site, and shark and marine related articles from around the net, please join us on Facebook and Twitter. We'd love to see you over there.
